A canopy of trees
Klein and Klein worked with Shea Properties to develop the branding for Canopy Apartments. We were inspired by the canopy of pine trees surrounding the property. The word mark used clean, bold lines and a font design which provided a strong visual weight. This worked well across a number of branding situations such as interior and exterior signage.
Our creative direction reflected the developer’s desire to curate a treehouse-like atmosphere through the selection of landscape elements, colors, amenities, furniture, and textures based on interior design plans developed for Canopy.

Designing a style guide
Klein + Klein developed a community style guide to be used by members of the design team. The guide offered decisions and recommendations on:
Font design;
Proper logo use;
Color palettes;
Exterior signage; and
Social media icons.
The brand online
Apartments are now available for lease at the CANOPY apartment community, located in the affluent suburb of Shoreline, Washington. The CANOPY website invites potential residents to experience life in these new apartments tucked under pine trees.
Social media presence
Branding developed for CANOPY contributes to the successful social media presence, enhanced by the use of the feed logo/icon and choice of colors.
