Angels Express

Klein + Klein has assisted OC Metrolink in the marketing of Angels Express service for the past 4 years. The key message for the rail service was to skip all the traffic mess to and from the game.  At $7 round trip it is an amazing deal. The unspoken side benefit was avoiding the cost of parking and the exit jam from the stadium.

We used assignment photography for photos of a wide variety of fans taking Angels Express. The campaigns used both outdoor, bus advertising, a website, social media, radio and in-stadium advertising.  Angels Express kicks-off in April with special event marketing including Angels alumni and cheer squad. A secondary campaign created for a “Kids Ride Free” promotion typically runs during July and August.

Angels Express service always launched with a special celebration and event at the Irvine Metrolink station. The video announces the special alumni event featuring former Angels second baseman Adam Kennedy. The Angels strike force was there along with booths offering refreshments and prizes.

A house divided

Each year at the end of spring training, the Angels and Dodgers connect for a freeway series. We couldn’t help having fun with the social media videos focusing on a “house divided.”
